Team Siko wins the Belgian final of Red Bull Home Ground!

The Kruitfabriek in Vilvoorde hosted the Belgian final of Red Bull Home Ground, the world’s biggest 5v5 VALORANT tournament. The players of esports team Siko took home the trophy!

Full house in the Kruitfabriek in Vilvoorde. There, four Belgian esports teams faced each other in the national final of Red Bull Home Ground, the largest 5v5 VALORANT tournament in the world. The players of team Siko – Kipperman (Ghent), Moesti (Antwerp), Poegi (Leopoldsburg), Johnieboy (Brussels) and Clarity (Antwerp) – first played KRC Genk Esports home and came out on top after a particularly exciting final against team OohhYeaah. The loot? Gaming chairs from Blacklyte, monitors from AGON by AOC, Logitech G gear, vouchers from Alternate and – drum roll – a ticket to the world final of Red Bull Home Ground in Germany later this year! It was pro VALORANT player ScreaM who personally presented the main prize.

We are a composite team and have never trained together before. It was freestyle today. We didn’t expect to win against KRC Genk Esports so easily. We knew the final would be harder. But on the third map it was ours. What made us win? The chemistry between the players and the team spirit. We don’t give up. But for the world final we will practice together (laughs).

I felt honored to be part of this. We saw a lot of strong players at work today and exciting matches. Belgium has talent. You can’t just start in a high competition. Matches like this need to be there for young players, to learn and improve. Red Bull Home Ground is making great strides in that.

WORLD FINAL IN GERMANY

Team Siko will compete against VALORANT teams from around the world – both national finalists and pro player teams – in the Grand World Finals at Red Bull Home Ground in Germany later this year. More information about that will follow soon. Stay tuned!
